This is a Rain Forest ginger jar
It was made as the first demonstration piece of the day for visitors on
Wednesday 22nd Sept during Devon Open Studios and is signed and dated.
I used the soffietta to raise up the shoulders of the piece once it was on the pontil.
The last photo is of my two soffiettas - they provide a way of further blowing the piece even after it is separated from the blowing iron and on the pontil iron.
It stands 190mm high x 120mm across
